Properties of Fused Quartz Rod

 

1. High temperature resistance, quartz softening point temperature is about 1730℃, it can be used at 1100℃ for a long time, short time maximum use temperature up to higher than 1450℃.

 

 

2. Quartz rod has good light transmission and stable optical performance, the transparent range is wide, which is from 120nm-4500nm, and there is no absorption peak in this spectrum range.

 

 

3. Quartz rod has good corrosion resistance, can contact directly with various acids, alkalis and chemical reagents, and has good chemical stability.

 

 

4. Good electrical insulation performance, even at high temperatures quartz rod also has good insulation performance.

1. When using the quartz rod, handle it gently to avoid severe impact or fall, so as to avoid damage.
 
 
2. Shall not exceed the maximum use temperature of the quartz rod, otherwise it will cause crystallization or soften deformation.
 
 
3. Quartz rod for high temperature conditions must be wiped clean before use, fine thread gloves shall be worn during operation and do not touch it directly with hands.
 
 
4. Quartz rod is acidic material, strictly avoid contact with alkaline substances (such as sodium silicate, asbestos, potassium and sodium compounds, etc.) when used at high temperature, otherwise it will greatly reduce the crystallization resistance.
