Usage Instructions

1. Cleaning
The alumina crucible should be cleaned before use to remove impurities and dust on the surface. The user can use a soft cloth or brush to gently wipe, do not use a hard object or metal brush to clean, to not scratch the crucible surface.
2. Avoid violent vibration
During the use of crucible, severe vibration or collision should be avoided to not cause damage to the crucible structure.
3. Avoid contact with strong acid and alkali
Alumina crucible has good corrosion resistance to strong acid and alkali, but long-term contact with strong acid and alkali may cause chemical reactions on its surface and affect its service life. During use, contact with strong acids and bases should be avoided as much as possible, and relatively mild reagents should be selected.
4. The preheating temperature is about 105℃, the heating should be slow and uniform, the heating rate should be controlled well, and the furnace door should not be opened often, below 1200℃ should be <5℃/min, above 1200℃ should be<4℃/min.
5. Can not use gasoline spray gun, acetylene gun, alcohol spray burner direct heating to avoid explosive cracking due to uneven heat. The distance between the crucible and the heating body (such as carbon tube, silicon molybdenum rod, heating wire, etc.) should be no less than 2cm, and it's better to not let the bottom of large sized crucible contact with the bottom of furnace directly. It is recommended to use corundum sheet or other temperature resistant substances to lift the crucible to form air convection to extend the service life.
6. It's fine to remove residue on crucible surface when it is still hot, do not clean with acid and alkali substances.
7. Suitable for using anhydrous Na2CO3 and other weakly alkaline substances as molten samples, not suitable for using Na2O2, NaOH and other strongly alkaline substances and acidic substances as molten samples (such as potassium pyrosulfate K2S2O7, etc.).
8. Safety during use: alumina crucible works at high temperature, and personal protective equipment such as heat-releasing gloves and protective glasses should be worn when using to avoid burns or eye injuries.
9. Storage
When store alumina crucible, it should be placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid friction or collision with other items, so as not to scratch or damage the surface of the crucible.
