Properties of Zirconia Milling Balls

Zirconia bead is suitable for various kinds of ball mills, sand mills and other equipment, as a fine grinding media, it can be applied to require "zero pollution" slurry, powder and high viscosity, high hardness material ultrafine grinding.

1. The density is large, to provide large shearing force when grind, grinding efficiency is high, also the wear resistance is good, the service life is 8 times longer than that of zirconium silicate beads, 50 times as glass beads;

2. Good corrosion resistance to acid, alkali and salt, suitable for various kinds of grinding materials. The bead surface is smooth, so it's easy to clean;

3. With high mechanical strength, good toughness, high impact resistance, does not break during high-speed operation;

Usage Instructions

1. Selection of zirconia beads

Zirconia bead filling amount shall be determined according to operating parameters, appropricate size and ratio of is selected based on the type of grinding materials and its target particle size.

2. Grinding speed

Control the grinding speed during operation, can not overspeed operation, so as to avoid excessive loss of zirconia beads.

3. Cleaning

Zirconia beads need to be cleaned regularly to ensure their service life and the quality of the grinding material, and it is recommended to use intermittent cleaning method, that is, to shut down the equipment after a period of time operation and then start again.

4. Adding zirconia beads

After a long time operation zirconia beads will have a certain loss due to collision with each other, need to be supplemented regularly, before supplement broken beads should be screened out, and then fill the same weight of zirconia beads.

5. Increase the filling amount of zirconia beads

When need to extend the grinding time, or the grinding fineness cannot achieve the expected effect, the filling amount of zirconia beads can be increased.
